Interesting how agencies come up with a campaign and then instead of putting the campaign onto the main website set up a whole new domain, use traditional media to get traffic and then let them rot slowly when the campaign is finished.

Why not set up the campaign under the main site. Easy enough to have vanity campaigns for measurement. The link value is retained, its changing content, people get to see the main site. What am I missing here?

OK. Sometimes the corporate site is just too hard to change. I get that. Any other reasons?
